The trailer for Netflix’s upcoming Rudy Ray Moore biopic has dropped and it looks great. Dolemite is My Name has an impressive cast, but more importantly stars Eddie Murphy as Rudy Ray Moore. I am impressed, Murphy has much much more than a passing resemblance to Moore in the trailer, although the big distraction is that he doesn’t have Moore’s voice. I think that can be easily overlooked as everything else seems to be paying off big time, especially for a Netflix Original. Human Tornado is easily one of my favorite films and I could listen to Rudy Ray Moore all day. I’ve been finding it hard to excuse having a Netflix subscription, but I certainly will be watching this when it drops this fall.
